Basketball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hinckley-Finlayson on Thursday, Marshall came back down to earth. The Marshall Hilltoppers came up short against the Esko Eskomos on Friday, falling 74-53. The Hilltoppers haven't had much luck with the Eskomos recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Esko, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will face off against Proctor at 9:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Esko, they will challenge Blake at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Blake will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Esko surely won't give up without a fight.
