Basketball Game Preview: South Elgin Storm vs. Aurora East Tomcats

The South Elgin Storm will venture away from home to face off against the Aurora East Tomcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, South Elgin turned things around against Boylan Catholic last Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 victory over the Titans.

Meanwhile, Aurora East humbled Elgin with a 63-28 victory.

South Elgin's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Aurora East, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-13.

South Elgin came out on top in a nail-biter against Aurora East in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 60-57. Will South Elgin repeat their success, or does Aurora East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
