Volleyball Game Preview: Chavez Titans vs. Bear Creek Bruins

The Chavez Titans will challenge the Bear Creek Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bear Creek took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Chavez, who comes in off a win.

While Chavez's victory against Tokay wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans won by a set and slipped past the Tigers 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (100-93) Chavez actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-18, 25-21, 14-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Bear Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to Edison.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-27, 25-11, 25-21.

Chavez's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Bear Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
