Preview: Wilson Hall Barons vs. Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders

Wilson Hall has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson Hall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Heathwood Hall Episcopal is ranked fifth).

Last Friday, Wilson Hall came up short against Orangeburg Prep and fell 44-32. The loss was Wilson Hall's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Heathwood Hall Episcopal took their matchup at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 73-30 win over Porter-Gaud. With Heathwood Hall Episcopal ahead 49-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Heathwood Hall Episcopal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Jacobs led the charge by scoring 32 points along with 9 steals and 6 rebounds. The match was Jacobs' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Sabreya Monsanto was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with 7 steals and 5 assists.

The wins kept both teams' perfect 3-1 season records intact.

Wilson Hall was taken down by Heathwood Hall Episcopal 62-21 when the teams last played back in January. Can Wilson Hall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
