Recap: Prince Edward County Eagles vs. Nottoway Cougars

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Buckingham, The Prince Edward County Eagles were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They secured a 48-42 W over Nottoway. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Prince Edward County's six-point performance the matchup before.

When it comes to explaining why Nottoway lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anton Carter jr.. Despite the final result, he rushed for 218 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Carter jr. is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of D'Aunte Watson, who picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Prince Edward County's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Nottoway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Prince Edward County will head out on the road to face off against Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Cumberland is on a three-game streak of home losses, Prince Edward County a six-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Nottoway will take on Randolph-Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Randolph-Henry will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
