Baseball Recap: Chicago Christian Comes Up Short

Chicago Christian lost against Wheaton Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Knights took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Michael Millaney was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Chicago Christian's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Wheaton Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season.

While Chicago Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
