Softball Recap: Warren Dragons vs. Titusville Rockets
Warren couldn't beat Titusville on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Dragons lost 21-8 to the Rockets. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.
Alana Stuart was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Stuart was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4.
In other batting news, Emma Gray was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Warren has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3-1 record this season. As for Titusville, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren will venture away from home to face off against Central Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Titusville, they will face off against Harbor Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight.
