Baseball Recap: Bolivar Central Gets the Win

The matchup between Bolivar Central and McNairy Central on Friday hardly resembled the 2-2 effort from their previous meeting. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 10-9.

Clyne Walton was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Elijah Parson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Bolivar Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for McNairy Central, they moved to 12-9 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Bolivar Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
