Basketball Recap: Westminster Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Westminster Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Fort Payne Wildcats 59-30. While losing is never fun, Westminster Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Fort Payne is ranked 27th).

Westminster Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Fort Payne, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Westminster Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Decatur at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Payne, they will challenge Lee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
