Softball Recap: Athens Christian Eagles vs. The King's Academy Knights        
        
		
             There's no place like home for Athens Christian, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand The King's Academy Knights  a   15-0 shutout  on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than six  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Ellianna Christian was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Harper Westbrook was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple, and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Presley Hembree, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Athens Christian  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  hit at least nine  hits in three consecutive  matchups.
 Athens Christian pushed their record up to 7-2 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home. As for The King's Academy,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-6.
 Athens Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against The King's Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
