Baseball Recap: Royal Palm Beach Comes Up Short

Royal Palm Beach suffered their closest defeat since March 3rd on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Park Vista Cobras by a score of 6-4. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Cobras: they've now lost seven in a row.

Royal Palm Beach saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deangleo Davila, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI Davila has posted since back in February. Miguelangel Guzman was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Royal Palm Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Park Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Royal Palm Beach Wildcats challenge Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Royal Palm Beach's pitchers better be ready for this one: Somerset Academy - Canyons has averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Park Vista, they will venture away from home to face off against Palm Beach Gardens at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
