Recap: Seton Catholic Central Saints vs. Owego Free Academy River Hawks
There's no place like home for the Seton Catholic Central Saints, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-42 victory over Owego Free Academy on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Seton Catholic Central also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seton Catholic Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Johnny Hopf, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Hopf's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allan Eagles, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Seton Catholic Central's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Owego Free Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Seton Catholic Central will be home for the holidays to greet New Hartford at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. New Hartford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 413th, while Seton Catholic Central is ranked 81st).
