Volleyball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Takes a Loss

Ansley/Litchfield lost against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Asia Lyon paced Ansley/Litchfield's offense, picking up 14 kills. Lyon got some help from Caydence Feldman and her 34 assists. Finally, Jenna Holm kept Ansley/Litchfield's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Lily Hrasky was nothing short of spectacular for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller: she had 24 digs. That's the most digs Hrasky has posted since back in September.

Ansley/Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Ansley/Litchfield will face off against Pleasanton at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Sumner-Eddyville-Miller, they will take on Wilcox-Hildreth on Monday.
