Hazlehurst came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Muddy River HomeSchool Counselors 73-70. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly three points.

When it comes to explaining why Muddy River HomeSchool lost, don't look at Sun Michael Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 40 points and 18 rebounds. That was a full 57.1% of the Counselors' points, marking the sixth time in a row Williams has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Veverka, who shot 71% from the field en route to 13 points and seven boards.

Hazlehurst's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Muddy River HomeSchool, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.
