Baseball Recap: Timber Creek Regional Comes Up Short

Timber Creek Regional had lost four straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-6 to make it five. They fell just short of Gloucester County Tech by a score of 5-4. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gloucester County Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Tyler McCullough made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cole Scanlan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Gloucester County Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 21, 2024.

On Gloucester County Tech's side, their victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Reed Murphy, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave Murphy a new career-high. Isaac Wadusky also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Timber Creek Regional has already played their next game (against Highland Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gloucester County Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 17-3 loss against Kingsway on the 24th.
