Basketball Recap: Clearbrook-Gonvick Piles Up the Points Against Red Lake

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clearbrook-Gonvick). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging an 87-60 victory over the Red Lake Warriors. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 27 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Red Lake still got an impressive performance from Dimitruis Harris, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, Harris is now averaging an impressive 8.8 rebounds per game. Andrew Roy was another key player, putting up nine points along with seven assists and four steals.

Clearbrook-Gonvick's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Red Lake, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Clearbrook-Gonvick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-35 victory against Blackduck on the 4th. As for Red Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cass Lake-Bena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
