Preview: Trumbull Eagles vs. Norwalk Bears
The Trumbull Eagles will be playing at home against the Norwalk Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trumbull has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,058 points over their last 15 matchups.
Last Tuesday, Trumbull faced Stamford in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Trumbull fell just short of Stamford by a score of 62-59. Trumbull has not had much luck with Stamford recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Norwalk pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 77-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Danbury.
Trumbull's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2. As for Norwalk, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Trumbull strolled past Norwalk in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 62-46. Does Trumbull have another victory up their sleeve, or will Norwalk turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
