Basketball Recap: Morgan County Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Morgan County won the last time they faced Callaway and things went their way on Friday too. The Morgan County Bulldogs walked away with a 56-44 victory over the Callaway Cavaliers. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly 12 points.

Callaway lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaiden James, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Thomas, who had six points in addition to 16 rebounds and three blocks.

Morgan County pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Callaway, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Coincidentally, Morgan County and Callaway will both be playing Westside the next time they take the court. Morgan County will host Westside at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Callaway will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
