Basketball Recap: East Mecklenburg Takes a Loss

East Mecklenburg lost against Providence back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Mecklenburg Eagles fell to the Providence Panthers 50-46. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Providence found their leader in freshman Emma Fuller, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards set a new season-high mark for Fuller. Anna Fillnow was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

East Mecklenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Providence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-14.

As of now, neither East Mecklenburg nor Providence have any future games scheduled.
