Softball Recap: Pleasanton Triumphs

On Friday, the Pleasanton Eagles earned a 5-2 win over the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls). The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Maricella Lozano was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Areceli Hernandez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Pleasanton's victory bumped their record up to 14-6-1. As for Uvalde, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1.

Looking ahead, Pleasanton will head out on the road to face off against Carrizo Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carrizo Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something Pleasanton will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Uvalde, they will be playing at home against Devine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Uvalde surely won't give up without a fight.
