Baseball Recap: P.K. Yonge Takes a Loss

P.K. Yonge was the 12-8 winner over Bradford when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Wave fell just short of the Tornadoes by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Blue Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Darius Medley was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for P.K. Yonge: the team is 8-3 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

P.K. Yonge now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Bradford, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-12.

Looking ahead, P.K. Yonge will be playing in front of their home fans against Newberry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Blue Wave's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Bradford, they will take on Palatka at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
