Basketball Game Preview: Shattuck Indians vs. Leedey Bison

Shattuck hasn't had much luck against Leedey recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Shattuck Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Leedey Bison at 8:00 p.m. Shattuck knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Leedey likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Shattuck earned a 58-45 win over Boise City.

Meanwhile, Leedey had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They skirted past the Bombers 41-38. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Bombers are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shattuck is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Leedey, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Things could have been worse for Shattuck, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-55 loss to Leedey when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Shattuck avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
