Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 71-26 victory over the Lanphier Lions. Given the Railsplitters' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Lions are ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win snapped Lincoln's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-9 record. As for Lanphier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-32 victory against Leyden on the 20th. Lanphier has also already played their next game, a 61-30 win against East St. Louis on the 20th.
