Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Orland's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shasta, Orland was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Linden Lions.

Orland's offense was headlined by Dottie Davis and Norah Reimers, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Caydance Kremer and her 13 assists. Finally, Lillianna Rowe kept Orland's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Orland is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Linden, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Coincidentally, Orland and Linden will both be playing Bradshaw Christian the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Pride at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
