Baseball Game Preview: Weiss - vs. Georgetown Eagles

The Weiss - will venture away from home to challenge the Georgetown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weiss is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Last Saturday, Weiss came up short against Hays and fell 6-1. The - have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Weiss got a good showing from Landon Teller, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Teller has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Weiss saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amari Maxwell, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Georgetown had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They beat the Hawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Georgetown's win bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Weiss, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5-1.

Weiss came out on top in a nail-biter against Georgetown in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 3-2. Do the - have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
