Volleyball Recap: South Pemiscot Bulldogs vs. Portageville Bulldogs

After flying high against Kelly last Monday, South Pemiscot came back down to earth. The South Pemiscot Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Portageville Bulldogs on Tuesday. The loss was South Pemiscot's first of the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-8, 25-16.

Portageville found their leader in underclassman Lexi Priggel, who had seven digs and 15 assists. Priggel is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted nine or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, South Pemiscot fell to 2-1. As for Portageville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Pemiscot will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Caruthersville at 6:00 p.m. South Pemiscot is facing Caruthersville at the right time seeing as Caruthersville is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Portageville, they will head out to face off against Kennett at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2014, but likely not for long.
