It was a proper cat-fight when Alexander Central took on Hibriten on Monday. The Cougars walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Panthers. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three games in a row.

Gunnar Johnson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Wade Queen was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Graham Hoke was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Alexander Central's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Hibriten, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Alexander Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-0 win against St. Stephens on the 22nd. As for Hibriten, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-2 victory against Maiden on the 22nd.
