Basketball Game Preview: Neches Tigers vs. Penelope Wolverines

The Neches Tigers will face off against the Penelope Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, Neches came up short against Mount Calm and fell 46-33.

Meanwhile, Penelope also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Mount Calm by a score of 41-32.

Neches now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Penelope, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Everything came up roses for Neches against Penelope in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-13 victory. Will Neches repeat their success, or does Penelope have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
