Volleyball Game Preview: Midland Legacy Rebels vs. Frenship Tigers

The Midland Legacy Rebels will face off against the Frenship Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Midland Legacy comes in on eight and Frenship on four.

Midland Legacy had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Odessa on Friday. The Rebels put the hurt on the Bronchos with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Midland Legacy was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-21.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Frenship and San Angelo Central, and Frenship kept the tradition alive. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bobcats on Friday.

While Frenship won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-21.

Midland Legacy's win bumped their record up to 25-11. As for Frenship, their victory bumped their record up to 22-12.

Midland Legacy couldn't quite get it done against Frenship in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
