Softball Recap: Beaver Dam Beats Oconomowoc for Their Third Straight Victory

Beaver Dam waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Oconomowoc Raccoons. The Golden Beavers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raccoons, too.

Addy Damon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kendall Fakes, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Chloe Kasuboski also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Beaver Dam was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Beaver Dam's record now sits at 14-9. As for Oconomowoc, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beaver Dam will welcome Watertown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oconomowoc, they will host Waukesha West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
