League recap: Wallace-Rose Hill's Boyette delivers best pitching performance from past week

1A Tri-County league recap: 3/13/13

Alex Boyette was the best pitcher in 1A Tri-County this week, leading Wallace-Rose Hill. He won one game and struck out eight batters.

First place in the standings of the league is up for grabs this week, as Union sits tied atop the standings with Midway.

Hobbton's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only two hits and zero walks, both of which led the league.

The league boasted five .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Walker Imwalle, who hit .500 by going 4-for-8.

Walker Imwalle's four RBIs this week were tops in the league. He now stands at four RBIs on the season, which puts him fifth in the league.



Ryan Hall drove in four runners on Thursday in the Spartans' 15-4 victory over James Kenan. He went 4-for-5 and scored one run.

Dakota Mcfadden threw a no-hitter this week in Trask's 6-0 victory over Dixon.
