Football Recap: Merced Find Success

Merced posted their closest win since August 31, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Notre Dame Regents 14-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Antonia Lejarde threw for 173 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Averie Steverson was her top target, picking up 98 receiving yards.

Merced's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.

Merced didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-26 victory against Milpitas on the 13th. Notre Dame has also already played their next game (against King's Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
