Basketball Recap: Coyle's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak at Home

Coyle hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They were the clear victor by a 64-40 margin over the Agra Bearcats on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-41 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Agra lost, don't look at Tevin Hutchinson. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 17 on his way to 20 points and six boards. Those 20 points gave Hutchinson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kash Roe, who posted six points.

Coyle's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Agra, their loss was their 24th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Coyle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-36 win against Depew on the 18th. As for Agra, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Davenport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Davenport has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three contests.
