Baseball Game Preview: Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates vs. Dansville Aggies

The Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Dansville Aggies at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Pewamo-Westphalia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Pewamo-Westphalia had taken Saranac down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Pirates fell 7-3 to the Redhawks.

Carter Wirth was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Alex Drysdale, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Dansville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to Waverly.

Pewamo-Westphalia now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Dansville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Pewamo-Westphalia couldn't quite get it done against Dansville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
