Basketball Recap: Key West Sets Scoring Season-High Against Manatee

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Key West). They walked away with an 84-77 win over the Manatee Hurricanes on Saturday.

James Osborne was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten boards. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Roberts, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Key West smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Key West is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Manatee, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Key West will host Coral Shores at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Key West is facing Coral Shores at the right time seeing as Coral Shores is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Manatee, they will venture away from home to take on Southeast at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manatee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Southeast likes a good challenge.
