Softball Recap: Woodlands Academy Wildcats vs. Latin Romans
Woodlands Academy blew Latin out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Latin got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of the Romans by a score of 14-12. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (ten), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.
Evie Twohig led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sara Bult, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Woodlands Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Latin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Woodlands Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Regina Dominican at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th. Meanwhile, Latin will face off against rival Francis W. Parker at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
