Baseball Recap: Capital Comes Up Short

Capital lost to Winfield back in April of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Generals, falling 11-1. The Cougars' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Capital's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Winfield, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

Coming up, Capital will challenge Charleston Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Winfield, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Buffalo on the 8th.
