Baseball Preview: Carson Senators vs. Clark Chargers

The Carson Senators will head out on the road to challenge the Clark Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carson is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 22-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.

Carson scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Mammoth as Carson made off with a 21-3 victory. The win was just what Carson needed coming off of a 14-4 loss in their prior contest.

Jeremy Hernandez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). Hernandez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.

In other pitching news, Will Raggett looked comfortable as he tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks).

Back at the plate, Carson got a massive performance out of Sieben Jordan, who scored four runs while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Carson White, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a double.

Meanwhile, Clark came up short against Sports Leadership & Management on Tuesday and fell 9-5.

Hayden King was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Carson's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
