Softball Recap: Lyndon Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Osage City, Lyndon was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Lebo Wolves with a sharp 23-12 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Kylie Dorr, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Haley Burkdoll, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.

Lyndon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lebo, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Lyndon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolves: the pair will be back at it again later today.
