Softball Recap: Belleville Victorious

Belleville's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-12 victory over the Madison La Follette Lancers. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Payton Richter was excellent, scoring three runs while going 1-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Raven, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Belleville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .532. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Belleville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Coming up, Belleville will be playing at home against Edgerton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison La Follette, they will square off against Riverside University/Meir at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
