The home team had won the previous three meetings between Hackett and Lavaca, and Hackett kept the tradition alive. The Hornets took down the Golden Arrows 20-6 on Friday. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 28-22 win the Golden Arrows walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Hackett's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4. As for Lavaca, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.
