Softball Recap: Red Bank Drops Highest Score of Season Against Chattanooga Central

Red Bank extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Sunday, dropping their season record down to 0-15 in the process. They took a 16-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chattanooga Central Pounders. On the bright side, the 13- run effort marked the Lions' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Chattanooga Central, they pushed their record up to 18-8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games.

For Chattanooga Central's part, Navaeh Frank was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Frank has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Sanaa Townsend was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Myra Kouris, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Red Bank does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chattanooga Central, they will face off against Soddy Daisy at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
