Basketball Game Preview: Satellite Scorpions vs. Titusville Terriers

The Satellite Scorpions will take on the Titusville Terriers on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Satellite narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Eau Gallie 49-47. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scorpions.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Titusville's strategy against Space Coast on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Titusville blew Space Coast out of the water with a 65-28 final score. The Terriers pushed the score to 55-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vipers had no chance of recovering from.

Titusville's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Satellite, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-12.

Satellite beat Titusville 55-45 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Satellite since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
