Lakeview hadn't done well against Northwestern Regional recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Highlanders 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Lakeview were the better team in the second half.

Noah Jenkins and Luca D'Urso scored both of Lakeview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

The win got Lakeview back to even at 4-4. As for Northwestern Regional, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview will welcome Nonnewaug at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwestern Regional, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shepaug Valley at 3:45 p.m. on October 9.
