Baseball Recap: 11 Straight Home Victories for North Rock Creek

North Rock Creek entered their tilt with Marlow on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Outlaws. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Cason Coomer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, North Rock Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Plumb, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another was Hasten Conley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
