Softball Recap: Butler's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Butler had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Kiski Area Cavaliers by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday. The Golden Tornado have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

Lily Vicari and Shylee Karenbauer did most of the damage at the plate: Vicari went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Karenbauer went 2-for-4 with one home run and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Karenbauer a new career-high.

Butler's victory bumped their record up to 3-18. As for Kiski Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Butler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kiski Area, they will host Greater Latrobe at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
