Lanesville had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Mitchell Bluejackets.

Lanesville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Lanesville's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Mitchell, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
