Softball Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ball on Thursday, Taft came back down to earth. The Taft Raiders fell just short of the Plano East Panthers by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The loss was the Raiders' first of the season.

Sophia Quiroz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she's hit this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Taft fell to 3-1. As for Plano East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Taft will square off against Lutheran South Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Taft is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Plano East, they have already played their next game, a 14-9 win against The Woodlands on the 13th.
