Volleyball Recap: Key West's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Key West had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Marathon Dolphins. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Key West was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-14.

Audrey Smith paced Key West's offense, picking up ten kills. Smith got some help from Molly McKnight and her 17 assists. McKnight also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Catherine Van Staden, each putting up four.

Key West's record now sits at 15-10. As for Marathon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Key West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marathon, they will take on Coral Shores at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
