It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Silverdale Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They beat the Oakland Patriots by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. The Seahawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Airebis Cox spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.
